subsidy

Over the past three weeks, we have seen a striking increase in the number of notifications regarding our clients’ EU subsidy files. These messages range from updates in the first and second phases of the application procedure to confirmations of acceptance and upcoming payments.
This peak in communication shows that there is clear movement within the various subsidy tracks. At the same time, we notice that processing times are still significant, causing many files to remain pending longer than desired.
No message is not necessarily bad news
For clients who have not yet received an update, it is important to put this in the right perspective. The absence of a notification does not automatically mean that something is wrong with the application.
The reality is primarily that:
- Subsidy processing is still in full swing
- Turnaround times are longer than expected
- Files are often assessed in batches or in phases
This may mean that some applications are simply still in the queue awaiting assessment or administrative processing.
We are in contact
We are in direct contact with the GVA and are invited to special (online) meetings regarding grant applications. These meetings are by invitation only and are intended for companies and contact persons who have submitted many grant applications, such as major energy companies like Iberdrola, Holaluz, and Endesa. As a result, we are part of a small, select group where important updates, rules, and points of attention regarding subsidies are shared. This often allows us to receive information first, ensuring that our dossiers are properly reviewed and taken seriously.
Patience remains necessary
Although the uncertainty is frustrating for many applicants, the current picture is primarily that of a slow but ongoing process. The recent stream of notifications shows that dossiers are indeed being picked up and that progress is being made step by step.
For now, the most important advice remains: stay patient and trust the process. As soon as there are updates, they usually follow automatically via the official channels.
